Sailor Steeler

And should I die...

As I will be unavailable the next few days (cue, the mischief), I offer an unoriginal thought to offer for discussion until I come back.

People often say that they owe their favorite entertainer, artists, a great debt that can never be repaid. Since when does an audience owe the creators/publishers anything? If anything the artist is the one to entertain, engage, inform, enthrall, disgust, or otherwise communicate with the people.

When was the last time one of your favorite creators actually acknowledged the fans, not in a fake "we love you guys" way but actually treated the individuals as people? When was the last time they actually engaged the audience, the people who make them who they are?

My guess is never. And that's precisely what's wrong with society today.
