Sailor Steeler

"What is up with that?"

One of the things I notice is that a lot of people will draw or write something stating that it's just for fun and something they whipped up at a moment's notice, just for the heck of it.  They don't do it as part of a grand idea that they have in mind, but they do it on the spur of the moment.  While I find that usually, these efforts are far greater than any of the planned work that I've ever done, I'm actually more baffled by the idea that people are able to make pieces purely for fun and not connected to a larger narrative.

Do I make things for fun?  Yes, I do, but I will say that every, yes, every word that I've written, every sprite that I've edited, and even the ArtPad pieces that were me goofing around weren't just empty fun.  Each piece, no matter how "fluff" or parodic it was, had an intent or a backstory beyond what was visible to the viewer.

So, I'm going to lay this as an open challenge.  If there is anything of mine -- icon, avatar, fanfic, sprite -- that you would like to know more about, please ask me, and I will answer to the fullest of my capability.
