Gimme A Break!

I'm here to make an announcement, although it's more of an after-the-fact declaration in the same way as recessions are only defined after they have begun.  Nangbaby is taking a break from the Internet.  Although I've gotten progressively less accessible through the years to normal users (I've completely abandoned AIM, for instance), from this point I don't think I will be around even a little as I am now.

This isn't a "goodbye" post or anything like that.  I'm not going to take a bridge or even unplug the cord, but I am going to be less able to respond, create, and update even less than I normally am, which is not very much.  I can only hope this is not forever.

I'm still going to be participating in Pick & Win at GTF.  I'm still occasionally going to be on XBox Live, and even more sporadically on Wii.  But all those rants and posts I want to write are going to be curtailed, at least temporarily.  I don't see myself coming back to either YouTube or Newgrounds until after this situation has resolved.  I'm hardly on Facebook as it is, and MySpace speaks for itself.

If you tweet a message in reply to me (if you have a Twitter account, just log in, type "@nangbaby " and write the rest of the message), I'll get to it in less than 24 hours.  Seriously, it's the best way to catch my attention.  I'm also on Gmail, and three guesses as to what my Gmail address is.  (Here's a hint.  It's My LJ screen name +

As for the why?  Well, I'm going to tell my LJ friends and my LJ friends only in a post after this one.  If you want in on the reasons behind this, please friend me (or at least send me a private message so I can friend you) and I'll explain it to you.  You also get access to the secret posts where I confess that I caused the LJ outage a few years back...okay, I'm kidding about that, but I have to clarify that because some humorless, literal-minded people actually think I'm serious about that remark.  It's not because I don't want people to know, but I don't think people will be interested in the rest of this, and  I'm going to assume any person I've listed as a friend is a willing audience member.
