No, I can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality...

You know, please tell me I am not the only one who is completely dissuaded from voting for a pair of candidates who are self-proclaimed Mavericks...

In other news, the Steelers win. That's good.

I don't see how anyone who was a die hard Hillary supporter could vote for the McCain/Palin ticket based on issues alone. Other than being a woman comparing the two is like comparing water to fire.

The biggest issue is the anti-Abortion stance of Palin and her laughable views on sex education. The irony of her family situation needs not even be mentioned......

I was a Hillary supporter, but trust me, I wouldn't vote for the opposition if you paid me. Yes, Obama has his flaws, but I'd vote for anything to keep that shrew out of the vice presidency.

What's sad about the whole "family situation" isn't that it highlights the hypocrisy, but that any mention of it by the *media* is considered "sexism" by the right...and the "liberal" media decides to back away instead of digging further. The media has dug and dug for every candidate and every politician when there was even a hint of scandal. Heck, they unearthed the John Edwards story when no one cared. Why should Palin get a free pass on any family or personal affairs when the Jeremiah Wright story went on for WEEKS, and that story had far less substance than this one?

Not supposedly wanting to go after family members is what this is being attributed to but, it does show how tilted the whole game is. As you said Obama and others can be questioned about the actions of people they know and/or associate with but, what goes on in this woman's home is not important ? The only problem the "Liberal" media has is a lack of balls when it comes to dealing with the Repubilcans and the far Right who use FOX News as its bully-pulpit (key term here being bully).

Another thing that is sickening about this whole McPain ticket is the pandering they are doing via her family (the same one who is off limits). Her oldest son going to Iraq as though he is going to win the was like Captain America is really cheap heat and as long as it suits them worth mentioning again and again. Thing is did you see the look on his face at the convention? Seems like the reality of being Infantry in Iraq is setting in, I hope for his sake he gets a cushy assignment that doesn't get him killed since the Republicans would make him the next Pat Tillman. And that would suck for him big time.

Then there is the youngest son, five months old with Downs Syndrome being passed around like one of the toy dogs that were all the rage a few years ago with the air-head Hilton set. Everyone in the row from Mrs. McCain to the youngest daughter was shown holding that poor baby and that now has become some battle cry for the Repubs as to their commitment to Special Needs children. Give me a fucking break, the Bush administration has done more to leave every child behind, disable or not and now because this woman has a child with a disability they care ?

I am not a religious person by any means but, if there is someone or something out there looking at these people and how they behave I hope their fake words and misdeeds do come back on them.
