Writer's Block: Let's Be Friends

Jul. 30th, 2009 | 09:42 am

After a break-up, do you try to remain friends with your former flame? Does it work?

I try to, but the former flame never wants to have anything to do with me.

Well let's see. Paulina screwed me over but I stayed friends with her. That led to a second opportunity to screw me over again.

Monique was controlling, manipulative, and obsessive. A few years after I broke up with her, she started emailing me again. It only took about a month to catch her lying to me again.

Those are the only two noteworthy relationships I've had. Short answer is I used to try to remain friends, but I won't any more.

That's why we should give up on both love and friends. Even the platonic relationships screw us over.

Love? Sure, see ya.

Friends? I've still got a handful of those, i'll try to keep them, for at least a little while. Besides, if we give up friends that includes each other! I'll keep you, for at least a little while!

Maybe all we have is each other. Or maybe all I have is you and miluda. Everybody else seems to have abandoned me.

Internet friends are fine, but real life friends usually annoy me more than anything.

Like the guy I drive team truck with. He called me today to see what I was doing. Sorry bud, i'm helping my dad with yardwork... (and I'd rather be doing that). Otherwise he'd wanna hang out or go to a bar or something and that's just too tiresome.
